The final four of the 2026 Wimbledon men’s singles draw is set. For the first time since 2001, a wild card is three sets away from the final. Arthur Fery, current world No. 114, and French Open winner Alexander Zverev are both in their first Wimbledon semifinal.On the other side of the bracket, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner once again stands in the way of Novak Djokovic’s quest for a record 25th Grand Slam. After taking a medical timeout in the second set, Fritz was unable to find his footing. Zverev went on to claim the set and secured two early breaks in the third, ending his seven-match losing streak to the American.This semifinal presents a tantalizing affair on the court: Fery’s excellent mobility and clinical backhand redirection against Zverev’s big serve and pure groundstrokes from behind the baseline. Zverev will need to serve lights out and end points early in order to deal with Fery and the rowdy Centre Court crowd.The second semifinal is another rematch between Sinner and Djokovic. Last year at Wimbledon, Sinner won their meeting, also in the semifinal round. In January, Djokovic prevailed in their Australian Open semifinal. Though both had disappointing French Open performances, the pair have not missed a beat since.At the All England Club, Sinner survived a first-round, five-set test against Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanović before proceeding to win every set in the following rounds. In contrast, Djokovic has spent over 16 hours playing in this tournament, and three more than Sinner. The Italian will look to take advantage of the 39-year-old’s extended time on court, especially after Djokovic’s five-hour quarterfinal win against Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime.Sinner has an opportunity to redeem himself after losing to Djokovic in Melbourne and reach his first major final of the season.
