A Bali swimmer has shared the bizarre moment she realised the strange sensation she felt in the water was caused by a tiny sea creature.
Before anyone gets their panties in a knot, let’s just say this story sounds like something someone would make up after one too many tropical cocktails, but according to actor Donya Rahimi, it actually happened.
The actor’s Bali holiday wasn’t exactly the picture-perfect paradise moment you see on postcards. You know the ones: crystal-clear water, swaying palm trees and absolutely no warning that the ocean might have a surprise guest waiting for you.
During the final day of her trip, Rahimi and her boyfriend decided to finally take a dip in the ocean after noticing the water had been unusually low throughout their visit due to environmental issues.
While the situation was already a little strange, Rahimi said the water itself wasn’t exactly giving a luxury island escape. "It was a little bit sketchy; it had a dirty sewer smell," she explained.
