Kylian Mbappé added another chapter to his remarkable FIFA World Cup career on Thursday after leading France to a 2-0 quarter-final victory over Morocco, extending his list of tournament records and milestones.
Mbappé opened the scoring in the 59th minute before Ousmane Dembélé added a second as France booked a place in the semi-finals.
The goal also saw the France captain strengthen his position as the leading scorer in World Cup knockout matches, while adding to a growing list of achievements that have placed him among the competition’s all-time greats.
