The Jigawa State Police Command has impounded 24 vehicles and arraigned their owners in court for allegedly violating vehicle registration and traffic laws as part of a statewide enforcement drive aimed at boosting security and public safety.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Dutse, the state capital, by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Shi’isu Adam, on Thursday.

According to Adam, the command has intensified the enforcement of traffic and vehicle registration regulations across the state.

He said the exercise is part of the police’s commitment to enhancing public safety, strengthening security and ensuring strict compliance with laws regulating the use of motor vehicles on public roads.
