July 10, 2026 10:55 Karur prepared to welcome CM VijayKarur, the textile town, has geared up to receive Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, who is making his maiden official visit since he assumed office. More importantly, it marks his first visit since the devastating stampede that claimed 41 lives during the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam pre-election campaign rally addressed by him. Mr. Vijay will hand over appointment orders to family members of the 32 victims of the stampede. He will meet the relatives of the victims and the survivors, who were injured in the stampede.
