Ekurhuleni officials, Imogen Mashazi, suspended legal services head Kemi Behari, suspended human resources head Linda Gxasheka, and suspended EMPD chief Julius Mkhwanazi appeared in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
The case against suspended Ekurhuleni officials, including deputy chief of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Julius Mkhwanazi, former city manager Imogen Mashazi, suspended head of legal services Advocate Kemi Behari, and suspended head of human resources Linda Gxasheka, has been postponed to Friday, July 10.
The adjournment comes as the Germiston Magistrate's Court considers the continuation of bail applications for Mashazi and Gxasheka.
The four officials are facing corruption charges following their arrest after a takedown operation effected by the Commission's Recommendations Task Team on Wednesday evening.
The case is linked to Mashazi's role in allegedly shielding Mkhwanazi from disciplinary action.
