Four-division world champion Shakur Stevenson has signed a multifight deal with TKO’s Zuffa Boxing promotion, both sides confirmed Thursday. The signing is Zuffa’s biggest yet and comes just over a year since the fledgling promotion’s launch under UFC head Dana White and Saudi investor Turki Al-Sheikh.Stevenson, the current WBO 140-pound champion, said in an interview with The Athletic that he won’t be disclosing the details of the deal because he doesn’t “want anyone in my pockets.” It’s unclear with whom he’ll share a ring first and at what weight he will fight, though Zuffa said it will share more about its plans in the coming weeks.“Shakur is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He’s 29 years old, undefeated and already a four-division world champion,” White, who also is Zuffa Boxing co-founder, said in a statement. “This is a massive signing for Zuffa Boxing, and I’m looking forward to promoting this next fight.”Stevenson is still unsure what the Zuffa signing means for his WBO title, which he won in dominant fashion over Teofimo Lopez in January at Madison Square Garden. The fight ended in a unanimous decision in Stevenson’s favor, putting his professional record at 25-0. Zuffa has no 140-pound weight class.“I don’t really know yet. I’d love to keep my belt, but that’s up to the WBO. They gotta decide that and stick with it, unlike the WBC,” Stevenson said, referencing that sanctioning body’s decision to strip him of its lightweight world championship in February. Stevenson won that title in 2023 and defended it three times.
