"Through a complex security operation and precise intelligence follow-up, the internal security forces succeeded, in cooperation and coordination with the General Intelligence Agency, in dismantling the entire terrorist cell responsible for the recent Damascus bombings," Syria's Interior Ministry said in another post on the social media platform.Simultaneous raids were conducted all at once, targeting the cell's locations in Damascus and the countryside, including Al-Qatifah, Sayyidah Zaynab, Qudsaya suburb, and 'Ush al-Warawir, it added.Internal Security Forces commander for the rural Damascus province Brig. Gen. (credit: Mahmoud Hasano/Reuters)Interior Minister Anas Khattab said ‌earlier on Thursday that authorities would reveal the identities of the cell's members, their roles and all their links ​after investigations ​were completed.ISIS has not claimed responsibility for the attacks.Bombings near Macron's hotel, café kill elevenOn Tuesday, explosive devices planted in a vehicle near the hotel where Macron was meant to be staying detonated, killing one person and wounding 36 others.The explosion struck a crowded area between the Syrian tourism ministry and the national museum across from the Four Seasons hotel.Macron, who was set to meet civil society groups in the Syrian capital, was in a meeting with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in the presidential palace when the attack occured. Macron continued his encounter with Sharaa, unharmed.Another explosion last week in a Damascus café left ten dead and 21 injured.
