Tyreek Hill could miss 2026 season? The former Miami Dolphins wide receiver is in the midst of a rigorous recovery and rehab (Image via Getty: Tyreek Hill)No wonder no team is investing in Tyreek Hill during the 2026 offseason. He was brutally injured in September 2025, when he dislocated his knee and tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL [Anterior Cruciate Ligament]. His 2025 season ended just as it had started, yet he had a wide, bright smile as he was carted to an ambulance. Maybe he was trying to hide his pain behind that bright smile.By February 2026, the Miami Dolphins released him. Throughout the 2026 offseason and free agency, he has been linked to several teams by analysts and insiders, but no team has chosen to sign him. Now we know why. Bleacher Report insider James Palmer said, “There still is, to my understanding, no guarantee that Tyreek Hill plays in 2026. I think it’s wishful thinking.”Green Bay Packers could give Tyreek Hill a chance like they did with Micah ParsonsDallas Cowboys owner, president, and general manager Jerry Jones apparently did not want to offer a long-term contract to his 2021 first-round, 12th-overall pick, Micah Parsons, in 2025 because Parsons missed four games in 2024 due to a high ankle sprain injury.Meanwhile, several NFL teams in need of wide receiver help in 2026 are choosing to look elsewhere instead of pursuing Tyreek Hill.In Parsons’ case, the Green Bay Packers stepped up and signed him to a massive four-year, $186 million contract. In Hill’s case, however, no team has made a similar offer. There is less than a month left before the 2026 NFL preseason begins.According to Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, “Right now, he’s still in the midst of a rigorous recovery and rehab. There really isn’t a set timetable for when he’s going to be ready to go. And when that takes place is less important than the fact that he does come all the way back.” The agent does not know when Hill will be ready for the gridiron. The insider thinks Hill could miss the entire 2026 season. But there’s someone who believes Micah Parsons’ team, the Green Bay Packers, could go after Hill. FanSided’s Nick Halden urges Green Bay to go after Hill. “What makes the fit so perfect is considering putting Hill on the inside and giving Jordan Love the most talented deep target of his career.” If they believed in Parsons, when some analysts still think he may not be ready for the 2026 season, they could believe in Hill and give him a chance in 2026. If it’s not them, then maybe his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, where Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Chris Jones could welcome him with wide open arms.Tyreek Hill and his former team Kansas City ChiefsWhen Hill was released by the Dolphins, Chris Jones wrote, “Cheetah, it’s time,” on social media, hinting at a reunion with his old teammate. Head coach Andy Reid was asked about Hill. “I don’t even know if Tyreek is healthy right now to do anything.I’m sure he is working hard on that part and trying to get all that straightened out. But yeah, we talk about everything. There’s nothing happening there. But we know what you know, that he’s out there cranking away, trying to get himself back to where he can play,” the coach said in February 2026.It has been four months since then. According to predictions from insiders and analysts, Hill may not be ready for the 2026 season. Maybe that is why the Chiefs are not making a move. Anyhow, what are his injury chances?Tyreek Hill injury chances in 2026As per Draft Sharks, the 32-year-old elite wide receiver carries a 42 percent chance of injury in 2026. That is a medium risk. He has a 3.2 percent chance of injury per game. He is projected to miss 2.50 games in 2026. However, his durability is 5.00. 5 being the most durable. So, what will it be for Hill? Will he rest this season to come back stronger than ever, or will a team like the Packers finally help him see the light at the end of the tunnel? We can’t wait to know...
