Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a joke about Ukraine’s drone strikes on Moscow during his meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara.
When Trump asked whether Zelensky would be willing to travel to Moscow for peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Ukrainian leader responded with a smile: “It’s dangerous there right now. There are too many Ukrainian drones there.”

The remark drew laughter from journalists and those present at the meeting. Zelensky has previously said he is prepared to meet Putin to discuss ending the war, but not in Moscow. Trump also rejected the idea of Kyiv’s leader traveling to the Russian capital, saying that such a meeting would not be appropriate.
