The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two suspected ritualists over the alleged unlawful possession of an item suspected to be a human skull in Ijio in Iwajowa Local Government Area of the state
The arrest followed a joint intelligence-led operation with the Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday.
According to the statement, the operation was launched after the police received credible intelligence on the activities of a suspect allegedly in possession of an item suspected to be a human skull.
Olayinka said the Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Olugbenga, directed a joint operation involving police operatives and personnel of the Amotekun Corps, leading to the arrest of one Shittu Isah of Kajola Area, Ijio.
