The AirFly Pro is an essential travel accessory if you fly with wireless Bluetooth headphones and want to use them with a seat-back screen on your next flight. Twelve South launched a new second-generation model last year that adds a few quality-of-life updates, but most travelers will find that the original version is more than capable. It's now down to its lowest price since 2022.
Twelve South’s AirFly Pro is the original version of its high-end audio adapter. Even though the new AirFly Pro 2 is available, there aren’t many reasons to splurge on the more recent version when a price cut this good is live. The Bluetooth dongle works as both a transmitter and receiver, allowing you to use it on planes, in the car, with portable gaming consoles and anything else that can transmit audio over a 3.5mm jack. The biggest use case, and the one that gives the AirFly its name, is using Apple AirPods while you fly. It acts as an adapter that plugs directly into a plane’s in-flight entertainment system and pairs with your own headphones to watch movies on a plane’s seatback screens without needing to use a pair of the poor-quality earbuds provided by the airline.
