Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen, will soon begin an individual rehabilitation programme in his home country after holding discussions with German club VfL Wolfsburg.

In a statement on its verified X handle on Thursday, the Bundesliga club announced that the decision was reached after talks between Eriksen and Wolfsburg Managing Director, Dieter Hecking.

The club stated that the 34-year-old would continue his recovery in Denmark while remaining in regular contact with Wolfsburg and his medical team.

“Christian Eriksen will soon begin an individual rehabilitation program. After a conversation with VfL managing director Dieter Hecking, it was decided that the 34-year-old will complete this in his home country of Denmark.
