New rules for s.r.o. companies will require notarised or lawyer-approved documents, adding new steps for entrepreneurs from 17 August.
Entrepreneurs establishing companies in Slovakia from 17 August will face new legal requirements, higher registration costs and stricter procedures under amendments to the country’s Commercial Register (Obchodný register) legislation.
The changes affect the incorporation of limited liability companies (s.r.o.), the most common form of business in Slovakia, as well as a range of subsequent corporate changes. They also give greater legal effect to information published in the online Commercial Register and introduce several new administrative measures, Denník N writes.
Before 17 August
Founding documents generally require only officially certified signatures.
