Cassie was left reeling when she discovered the identity of the mystery man at the bar in the episode.‌She'd been flirting with him only for him to turn nasty before leaving. Spotting his bar receipt, she looked shocked as she saw his name and realised who he was.‌It's not until later scenes that we see his identity confirmed to residents. It's revealed that Ross is the long-lost biological father of Cassie's son Tyrone.More is set to be revealed about Ross and Cassie's past, but upcoming scenes see him seemingly blackmailing her. Cassie confides in Bernie Winter about this, and Bernie urges her to take action.‌But soon Cassie is left shocked once more, as she finds out Ross' new love interest. Cassie's partner Steve McDonald is left shocked when he finds something out, but it's not clear if this is linked to Ross's new romance.Ross' flame is none other than Cassie's enemy and Steve's ex Tracy Barlow. Ross stays the night at the Barlows with Tracy, and Cassie decides to warn Tracy about what Ross is like.Cassie claims that he’s not all that he seems and she needs to watch herself, but her words fall on deaf ears. Soon, Tracy and Ross go public, and they are kissing in the street.‌Once again Cassie tries to halt Tracy and Ross' romance, and it could work. Meanwhile, Tyrone and Hope try to tell Ross that Tracy is bad news, but Ross is having none of it.Ross wonders why Tracy is suddenly giving him the cold shoulder though, unaware that Cassie has been meddling. Soon all becomes clear and Ross explains himself, but he does end up winding Tracy up.‌He tells her he wants to cool things as he wants to focus on his relationship with son Tyrone. Despite this, Ross wastes no time in tracking down Cassie and issuing her with a warning.He tells her to stop interfering in his life. It seems Tyrone is losing his patience with his mum Cassie too, as he gives her her marching orders after yet more drama.
