Smart Surround Convection is Ninja’s name for the airflow system inside the oven, which pushes hot air across food from multiple directions at once instead of from a single fan. The result is 10 times the convection power of a built-in oven, per Ninja’s spec sheet. Chicken skin, fish fillets, and roasted vegetables come out evenly browned across the whole surface without flipping or rotating the pan halfway through. Preheating takes 90 seconds from cold.
Capacity inside the oven fits two full sheet pans on separate racks or a 12-pound turkey on the lower level. Baking sheets slide in and out on either of two rack positions, so a batch of 20 cookies can go in at once, spread across both levels. Whole roast function fits a 5-pound chicken and a sheet pan of vegetables on the second rack, cooking both together instead of the chicken alone first and then reheating the sides.
