Controversial penalty decision: Senegal and Morocco were drawing in the 2025 AFCON final when Morocco were awarded a stoppage-time penalty.
The award only came after referee Jean-Jacques Ndala was advised by VAR to consult the pitchside monitor following El Hadji Malick Diouf's challenge on Brahim Diaz in the penalty area.
Resulting chaos: As a result, the Senegalese players refused to play and walked off the pitch in incredible scenes.
After around 17 minutes, they returned and Diaz's penalty was saved by Edouard Mendy, forcing extra time.
Original score: Then in extra time, Senegal's Pape Gueye scored the winner to seemingly give his country their second AFCON title.
