Slovenia has announced an additional $50 million in funding for the PURL initiative, which supplies U.S.-made weapons to Ukraine.

The announcement was made by Slovenia's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tone Kajzer, on X, following the NATO Summit in Ankara, according to Ukrinform.

"At the NATO–Ukraine Council meeting, I reaffirmed Slovenia’s continued support for Ukraine. Slovenia will contribute an additional USD 50 million to the PURL initiative and will also co-finance the construction of three civil protection shelters," Kajzer said.

He stressed that Slovenia's mission is to stand by Ukraine as it fights for its freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while ensuring predictable, long-term, and sustainable support.

Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, thanked Slovenia for its unwavering support and solidarity.
