Poland will cooperate with Ukraine in the production and maintenance of PAC-3 missiles for Patriot air defense systems after signing a multilateral agreement with the United States and several NATO countries to establish a European maintenance center for these missiles.
This was announced on Thursday by Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Ukrinform's correspondent reports.
The Polish defense minister recalled that Poland had signed an agreement with the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden to establish a European maintenance center for PAC-3 missiles used by Patriot air defense systems.
Commenting on U.S. President Donald Trump's statement about granting Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles, Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed that Poland would play an important role in the process.
The Polish minister stated that no equipment was currently being transferred to Ukraine without Poland's involvement.
