A man has denied the attempted murder of 10 people in a mass stabbing on a London-bound train in Cambridgeshire.Anthony Williams, 33, denies 10 counts of attempted murder after several people were stabbed on an LNER train from Doncaster to London on the evening of 1 November 2025.Appearing by video-link at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday, Williams entered pleas of not guilty to a total of 21 charges in turn.He denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm over an alleged attack on a male police officer in custody on 2 November.He also pleaded not guilty to possession of a bladed article on a train between Peterborough and Huntingdon on 1 November.Williams denied one count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article over an incident at Pontoon Dock DLR station in London in the early hours of November 1, where a victim suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife.Anthony Williams appearing at Cambridge Crown Court, charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm and one count of possession of bladed article following a knife attack on a train in Cambridgeshire (PA)He also pleaded not guilty to the attempted murders of a 14-year-old boy, a 22-year-old man, and a 28-year-old man in Peterborough on 31 October.He also denied affray at a barbershop in Peterborough on 31 October and the theft of a pack of knives from an Asda store in Stevenage on 31 October.He pleaded not guilty to the assault of a man on a King’s Cross to Peterborough train on 1 November.He also denied possessing a bladed article in a public place at a footbridge near Henry Penn Walk, the Rail World car park and Queen’s Walk in Peterborough on 31 October.Judge Mark Bishop remanded Williams in custody until his trial.He told the defendant: “You’ve pleaded not guilty and so there will be a trial which will take place on 26 October.”He instructed that a further case management hearing will take place on 2 October.
