The reality TV star died aged 67 in April and sad detail about his final days has emerged.‌Sheets had appeared on hit series Storage Wars between 2010 and 2021, featuring on 163 episodes of the show in total.‌Newly released police documents released have confirmed the personality, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, left a handwritten note hidden inside a black basket in a bathroom closet. The note was left near to where his body was found.‌The report is said to claim the star wrote: "I could not take anymore the Facebook bulling, f*** you [redacted]" in shaky handwriting.Police are piecing together his final moments and are said to have found found the star was suffering from stress, sleepless nights and family turmoil.‌Sheets' girlfriend said he told her to "go back to bed" just moments before his death. She said the pair had a heated argument over “family drama” following a visit from the TV star's son.She claimed that following the arguments, Sheets had told her he did not want to be alone with his son. She said her partner had been “sad as hell” following the confrontation.Sheets' son, Brandon Sheets, spoke out to share an emotional statement on Instagram following his dad's death. He said: "My heart is so broken. I love you, Dad, and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our family.‌"Let’s all continue to build those memories and keep the legacy that is Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets." He also gave a speech at a memorial service for his late father.Confirming Sheets' death at the time, the Lake Havasu Police Department in Arizona said in a release: "On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual."Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The male was pronounced deceased on scene and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation."‌It went on: "The body was ultimately turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation.
