Saudi Arabia-based deeptech Uvera has closed a seed funding round with participation from Morgan Stanley Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures, LAB7, the venture-building arm of Aramco, Core Vision, and a group of strategic angel investors. The company did not disclose the funding amount.
Founded in 2019 by Asrar Damdam, Uvera develops food preservation and supply chain intelligence solutions that combine proprietary shelf-life extension technology, blockchain-backed traceability, IoT-powered analytics, and AI to help food producers, distributors, and retailers reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
The new funding will support the commercial deployment of Uvera's platform and further development of its technology, while LAB7 will collaborate with the company to enhance the scalability, technical robustness, and data integrity of its traceability and supply chain intelligence solutions.
Uvera aims to address global food waste by extending the shelf life of fresh produce and providing end-to-end visibility across the supply chain through its integrated deeptech platform.
