The Arsenal midfielder has missed two days of training with a sickness bug and will be a doubt for tomorrow night’s quarter-final against Norway.Boss Thomas Tuchel took steps to stop it spreading throughout his 26-man squad. It comes after some of the Norwegian team were struck down with coughing and a fever. Manager Stale Solbakken said constant jetsetting between venues hundreds of miles apart had taken its toll on his squad.Crystal Palace striker Jorgen Strand Larsen missed the opening match against Iraq through illness. Right back Marcus Holmgren Pedersen was absent from the last-16 clash against Brazil after being struck down with a fever. Solbakken himself was coughing violently at a press conference after Norway's group match against France. The manager said sore throats and spluttering coughs were common when folk were being asked to travel between wildly different conditions.He said: “There's been a bit of coughing and rasping evenly, scattered throughout. But there's air conditioning, flights, changing rooms and all that. Pubs can stay open late until 2am so supporters can either celebrate or drown their sorrows.Bars raced to stock up on beer for their busiest night since the 2018 World Cup in what is expected to be a bigger booze up than the Euro 2024 final on a Sunday, the 2022 World Cup in winter and the Euro 2020 final amid Covid.Fans are expected to blow £297m on the big match - £192m on food and drink for house parties and £105m in pubs, according to retail analyst VoucherCodes.co.uk. At least 21m pints are set to be necked in bars - 5.5m more than normal - with another 21m downed at home, according to British Beer and Pub Association consumption data.Crowds of at least 20,000 will watch on big screens at Silverworks Island, east London, and 90s Fest at Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield, with 13,000 at Escape to Freight Island, Manchester, and 5,000 at Kaleidoscope Festival, Alexandra Palace, north London.Mike Kill, chief executive officer of the Night Time Industries Association, said: "Millions of extra pints will be sold on what will be a huge day. 2am licences are a giant bonus for the trade.
