Nissan India is set to unveil its all-new Nissan Tekton SUV in India today. Dubbed the "Baby Patrol" by Nissan, the upcoming mid-size SUV is expected to borrow several styling cues from the flagship Patrol while sharing its underpinnings with the new Renault Duster.The Nissan Tekton will be manufactured at Renault's facility in Tamil Nadu and is expected to take on popular rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster and others.Here's everything we know about the upcoming Nissan Tekton SUV ahead of its official reveal.Nissan Tekton price in India (Expected)The Nissan Tekton is expected to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.Nissan Tekton design: Exterior highlightsNissan has given the Tekton a distinctive design inspired by the larger Patrol SUV. At the front, the SUV is expected to feature a wide grille with a red horizontal strip running across it, along with an illuminated Nissan logo at the centre. It also gets a full-width LED daytime running light (DRL) signature connected to the headlamp units, which feature L-shaped lighting elements.The SUV is expected to have sculpted bonnet with prominent character lines, central hood scoop, Tekton badging, roof-mounted spoiler, raked rear windscreen, connected C-shaped LED tail lamps, large rear bumper, and Nissan Tekton dimensions.The upcoming SUV is expected to have dimensions similar to the new Renault Duster.As per reports, it would be 4,345 mm long with a height of 1,703 mm and width of 1,815 mm. However, since the SUV is expected to share its powertrain options with the Renault Duster, its fuel efficiency is likely to be similar.The ARAI-certified mileage of the Renault Duster's 1.3-litre turbo-petrol manual variant is 17.75 km/l, while the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol DCT returns 18.45 km/l. If the Tekton uses the same engines and transmissions, it is expected to deliver comparable mileage figures.
