Ukraine’s No. 2 player, Marta Kostyuk, has advanced to the semifinals of the Wimbledon tennis tournament (total prize pool of £64.2 million) for the first time.
In the quarterfinals of the third Grand Slam tournament of the 2026 season, Marta Kostyuk (No. 13 in the world rankings) defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini (No. 17) in two sets—6-3, 6-2, according to Ukrinform.
The players spent 1 hour and 10 minutes on the court.

In the semifinals, Kostyuk will face ninth-seeded Linda Nosková of the Czech Republic, who defeated 25th-seeded Elise Mertens of Belgium 6-3, 7-5.
