July 8 (Asia Today) -- CJ Olive Young is expanding artificial intelligence-based services in its stores as it seeks to attract more global customers and improve the K-beauty shopping experience.
The company said Wednesday it is operating an AI Shopping Assistant mainly at multilevel stores with a high share of foreign visitors and strong demand for shopping information.
The AI Shopping Assistant allows customers to communicate with an AI avatar in real time through a kiosk. Shoppers can check product information, inventory and store locations and receive product recommendations based on their skin type and preferences.
The service supports eight languages, including English, Chinese and Japanese, allowing foreign customers to browse products with fewer language barriers.
