A senator representing Ogun West and the APC governorship candidate for Ogun State, Sen Solomon Adeola fondly called Yayi
A group of Ogun State indigenes and professionals based in the United States has endorsed the governorship ambition of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The group, under the aegis of the USA Ogun State Indigenes and Professionals Forum, also pledged to mobilise diaspora support for Adeola by promoting investment, policy engagement and development initiatives aimed at advancing the state’s growth.
In a statement on Monday, the forum said it would “work with him and his team to advance meaningful diaspora engagement, attract investment, support policy ideas, and promote initiatives that will contribute to the sustainable development of Ogun State.”
The statement was jointly signed by the Chairperson of the group’s Board of Trustees, Adeniyi Oridate; the President/Chief Executive Officer, Stanford Aderibigbe; and the Secretary-General, Rotimi Oyekanmi.
