Eddie Jim“Australia is a diverse culture,” said Gayatri Gangapurkar of Truganina, who attended the event with family and friends.7.20pm on Jul 9, 2026Flight instructor jumps to his death, leaving student to land plane soloBy Aine RyanA flight instructor jumped from an aircraft mid-flight, leaving his student-pilot to land the plane on her own.Leandro Andrés Bertazzo, 42, was flying a Cessna 150 over Toledo, in Argentina’s Cordoba province, on Saturday, July 4, when he told the 22-year-old student, identified only as Rosario, “you know what you have to do, carry on,“ CNN affiliate TN reported.He then reportedly removed his headset and seatbelt, opened the door and jumped from the aircraft. According to Del Sur Diario, the aircraft was about 250 metres above the ground at the time.Rosario notified air traffic control of the incident, took control of the Cessna and landed it safely, Del Sur Diario reported. After landing, she told authorities where she had seen the instructor fall, prompting a search operation in the area.
