July 8 (UPI) -- Netflix has announced a behind-the-scenes Heartstopper special.

Heartstopper: Ending on a Hi will release on the streaming service July 24, one week after the series comes to a close with the Heartstopper Forever movie.

Ending on a Hi will explore Heartstopper's impact and legacy since its premiere in 2022. The show, based on the Alice Oseman webcomic and graphic novels, announced Heartstopper Forever as a finale after a three-season run on Netflix.

"Heartstopper has always had such a wonderfully passionate and supportive community of readers and viewers," Oseman told Netflix's Tudum. "The connection that they have with the story is so beautiful, and I think the Ending on a Hi special celebrates all of that passion and joy and love, while also showing so many fascinating and hilarious moments from behind the scenes of Heartstopper!"

Heartstopper is an LGBTQ+ young adult comedy-drama that tells the story of Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke), two school mates who form a romance, and their friends.
