Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Essential Messenger Bag

Travelon landed on our radar as an Amazon bestseller, propped up as a roomy crossbody bag with “anti-theft” in its name. Compelled to try it for ourselves, CNN Underscored editorial coordinator Stephanie Luna took it everywhere, spanning weekend trips, museum excursions and daily walks around the city. The seemingly compact travel accessory surprised Luna by stashing a 20-ounce water bottle, with plenty of spare room to boot. Between juggling IDs, passports, cameras and other valuables, this purse stashes it all and keeps it secure with two zippered pockets that lock.
Beyond its plethora of zippered compartments, the bag also features a front pocket specially designed with RFID blocking, which basically means that it prevents unauthorized scanners from secretly reading or “skimming” personal information from the embedded chips in your credit cards and passports. In addition, the lockdown strap prevents grab-and-run theft, so you can loop it through a chair while dining for safekeeping. According to travel products editor Kyle Olsen, it’s made from durable, water- and dirt-resistant polyester, making it a low-maintenance option for daily wear.
