Geneva-based financial group Global Gate is strengthening its wealth management business with two high-profile hires from UBS. Michel Adjadj and Jean-Pierre Mehana are joining the independent financial group to assume key leadership positions.

According to a company statement, Michel Adjadj has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Global Gate Asset Management SA. The seasoned private banker served as Executive Vice Chairman of UBS Wealth Management until 2022. Before that, he led the Swiss bank’s Wealth Management business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for twelve years. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has been working as an independent adviser in Cyprus since December 2023.
Jean-Pierre Mehana joins Global Gate as Managing Director and will also become a partner of the group. The long-serving UBS executive most recently headed the Near East business at UBS Wealth Management Switzerland in Geneva as a Managing Director. Earlier in his career, he served as Director and Cluster Head Middle East at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management.
