Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has challenged state governors nationwide to fully implement local government autonomy.
Alia, who declared that the constitutional provision had transformed governance in Benue, argued that his state had become the most compliant in the federation.
The former clergyman stated this during the meet-the-press briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the State House, Abuja, on Wednesday.
He also warned politicians against converting insecurity into a partisan weapon.
The governor said, “I encourage every other person who is not on this path to move into it as well, because it works. Benue State is number one compliant on autonomy.
