M&S is the latest retailer to issue an alert, warning customers about one of its cheese products.‌The recall has been posted on both the retailer's website and the Food Standards Agency (FSA).‌The food item is being withdrawn over safety concerns. Shoppers who have bought the following items should return them to their nearest store immediately for a full refund.‌M&S is recalling M&S Food Truffle Gouda due to Listeria monocytogenes.Product details:Product code: 29424887Pack size: 150g‌Use by: October 9, 2026The FSA stated: "Symptoms caused by Listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea."However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.‌"Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems."M&S added that they take "food safety extremely seriously", with customer safety of "paramount importance".Article continues belowThe retailer said: "Please do not consume this product.
