The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny received nine Primetime Emmy nominations on Wednesday (July 8), more than any previous halftime show. The previous record holder was Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Starring Lady Gaga, which received six nods in 2017. Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin were Bunny’s guests on his halftime show this year.

The nominations for this year’s halftime show, which aired on NBC, include outstanding variety special (live), where Bad Bunny as the lead performer is a nominee. Only one halftime show to date has won in this category: The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Starring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent won four years ago, which made Emmy winners out of all of those billed artists.
