Pakistani authorities said the wreckage of the cargo plane that went missing off the coast of the capital Karachi on Tuesday. Rescuers had scoured the waters for 12 hours in rough monsoon seas that posed significant challenges to the search-and-rescue operation.
The aircraft was operated by K2 Airways, a private cargo airline in Pakistan that operates scheduled and charter flights domestically and internationally.
Five crew members are still missing.
Pakistan's navy and maritime rescue agency said in a statement that the wreckage was found in the Arabian Sea, off Ormara town on Pakistan's southern coast, it said.
"Efforts are underway to find the missing crew members," the agency added.
