MTN Uganda has blamed Sunday's outage on power disruption at one of the company's data centers.

The carrier's CEO Sylvia Mulinge apologized for the major network outage which impacted millions of customers.

The major network outage impacted voice, data, and mobile money services on July 5. All services have since been restored. MTN has more than 24 million customers in Uganda.

In an update yesterday, Mulinge apologized to MTN customers while addressing the media following the outage.
