Kwara State Governor, AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman

The Kwara State Government has urged all taxable persons to pay their taxes promptly, saying increased compliance is critical to strengthening the state’s internally generated revenue and enhancing its capacity to deliver sustainable development projects.

The government said every tax remitted represents not only a legal obligation but also an investment in the state’s development and the overall well-being of its citizens, stressing that timely tax payment remains essential to building a prosperous Kwara.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, Shade Omoniyi, the appeal comes amid ongoing tax reforms aimed at creating a fairer and more equitable tax system across the country.

Omoniyi said, “Every tax remitted is not just a legal obligation but also an investment in the sustainable development and better quality of life for all Kwarans.”
