Zandile Blose, a caterer for the SABC1 drama Uzalo, was shot dead outside her home in KwaMashu, north of Durban, while preparing for her husband's funeral. Her family believes someone known to them may have been behind the killing, while police have opened a murder investigation. Her death has led to the postponement of her husband's funeral, with the family now planning a joint funeral for the couple.
The family of a long-serving caterer for the SABC1 drama Uzalo believes her murder may have been orchestrated by someone known to her after she allegedly warned relatives that she feared for her life.
Zandile Blose, 44, was gunned down outside her home in KwaMashu's K-Section on Friday while making preparations for the funeral of her husband, Msizi Blose, who had died in a car accident in Mpumalanga less than a week earlier.
According to a relative, who asked not to be identified, two men wearing hoodies and shorts allegedly emerged from a Toyota Etios and opened fire on Blose shortly after she got into a vehicle that had arrived to collect her.
The relative said the Etios had been seen driving suspiciously around the area before the attack.
