The Independent National Electoral Commission has recognised Major Agbo as the National Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party, replacing factional chairman Bala Yusuf.
The development was announced at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
An independent check by our correspondent confirmed that Agbo’s name has been uploaded on INEC’s portal as the party’s national chairman.
The electoral commission also updated its records with the names of members of the party’s National Working Committee, including National Secretary Olaposi Oginni, National Treasurer Prince Adetoyese Omokanye, National Financial Secretary Anthony Apugo and National Legal Adviser Asuquo Ibok.
