Beaumont, 35, debuted in 2009 and has accumulated 260 appearances across all formats, scoring 14 international centuries over her nearly 17-year career. She was a crucial player in England's 2017 World Cup victory on home soil, where she was the tournament's leading run-scorer, and holds the England women's record with 12 One Day International hundreds. Her achievements include the highest Test score by an Englishwoman, 208 against Australia in the 2023 Ashes, and she is one of only two English women to score an international century in all three formats. Beaumont stated that the Lord's Test, the first-ever women's Test at the venue, felt like the "perfect occasion" to conclude her international career, though she will continue to play domestic cricket.
