A once-daily oral medication raised annualized height velocity for children and adolescents with achondroplasia, according to data from a phase 3 trial published in The New England Journal of Medicine. As Healio previously reported, infigratinib (BridgeBio Pharma) was granted breakthrough therapy designation by the FDA as a therapy to treat achondroplasia based on findings from a phase 2 trial.
