Survey, Settlements and Land Records (SSLR) Director Ronanki Kurmanath has directed Revenue department officials to involve farmers as stakeholders in the State government’s prestigious ‘Re-survey 2.0’ project and to conduct the survey in their presence.Mr. Kurmanath conducted a surprise inspection at MRO (Mandal Revenue Office) in Cumbum village of Markapuram district on Tuesday evening. He examined the login details of the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) and surveyors assigned to the village.Speaking to the media, the SSLR Director emphasised that the concerned farmers must be present on the day the survey is conducted. He stated that the demarcation of boundaries must be carried out in their presence, following document verification.He warned that action would be taken if any errors occurred during the process and emphasised that the farmers must be issued passbooks containing accurate measurements. He explained that the Re-survey 2.0 is being conducted because the previous survey had numerous flaws.Markapuram District Surveyor Inspector Neelakantappa, Mandal Tahsildar, Revenue and Survey staff, and others participated in the programme.
