Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Ukraine’s proposals, supported by its allies, give Putin the opportunity to end the war and avoid the collapse toward which continued escalation is leading Russia.

Sybiha made these remarks while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the NATO summit, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

According to the foreign minister, assessments of the actual situation on the battlefield, as voiced at the NATO summit, essentially boil down to “a common denominator”—that Ukraine has stabilized the front line, is making progress, and is effectively employing asymmetric operations, which significantly strengthen our negotiating position.

“I think it is becoming increasingly obvious—not just obvious, but strikingly evident—that for Putin, the war has not simply gone off course, but is leading him toward collapse. And the proposals that Ukraine has today, with the support of our allies, are undoubtedly an opportunity for Putin to end this war and, in fact, avoid collapse,” Sybiha said.
