Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeame (m), cutting the ribbon of the vehicles while others watch
Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has donated five operational vehicles, popularly known as “Green Marias,” to the Delta State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service to improve its operations and strengthen security in the state.
The vehicles were presented on Wednesday at Government House, Asaba.
Represented by his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, the governor said the donation reflected his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies and strengthening the justice system.
He said the vehicles would improve the mobility of correctional officers, enhance their response to duty, and boost supervision and coordination across the state.
