The heat is expected to be upwards of 30°C this weekend, but Florida's high humidity of around 75% is said to make it feel closer to 40°C there.‌FIFA had to delay the Three Lions' round of 16 match against Mexico by an hour. They could have to do so again this weekend, with a cancellation or postponement also a possibility.‌Half an hour's delay is mandatory for thunderstorms. Lightning within eight miles of the stadium results in a holdup in play this summer.‌FIFA must follow the recommendations of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the United States. They state that players must leave the pitch and fans go inside, away from their seats.England found that out the hard way after having already arrived at the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City before they learned that they would have to wait another hour before their game would begin. A shelter-in-place warning was put in place after reports of lightning above the stadium.‌They will, therefore, be ready for further disruptions.
