Erdoğan meets Macron on NATO summit sidelines

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Ankara on July 8, on the sidelines of the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government.

The closed-door meeting was held at the Presidential Complex, according to Turkish officials.

The talks came as Türkiye hosted the two-day NATO summit in the capital, bringing together leaders from the alliance’s 32 member states and key partners.

The summit agenda includes Europe’s defense capacity, NATO’s defense spending targets, military modernization and continued support for Ukraine.
