The Dangote Group appears set to influence Nigeria's downstream petroleum industry with a free petrol delivery scheme, providing bulk purchasers direct access to gasoline for ₦1,075 per litre in chosen states.
According to promotional materials seen on the group’s X page, issued as part of the company's Dangote Vision 2030: Accelerating Africa's Industrialisation campaign, the first phase of the scheme would span Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Abuja, and Delta, with other states to be added in following phases.
The initiative targets high-volume consumers with a minimum purchase requirement of 250,000 liters.
Eligible clients would also receive free gasoline delivery and a 10-day credit facility, which might alleviate cash flow concerns for major fuel marketers, industrial users, manufacturers, logistics organizations, and large commercial fuel distributors.
If fully executed, the initiative would be another key step in Dangote's ambitions to change Nigeria's gasoline supply chain, after the inauguration of the Dangote Refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day.
