The Kayhan newspaper, managed under the supervision of the representative of the Islamic Republic’s leader, called for action against the U.S. President in its Wednesday, July 8, edition with the headline “Trump Must Not Remain Alive.” Simultaneously, media outlets and figures close to hardline factions published messages containing threats against Donald Trump.

In an article covering the funeral procession of Ali Khamenei, the former leader of the Islamic Republic, the newspaper wrote that the ceremony was a “test of the authority of Islam” and claimed that the security of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu “has been destroyed forever.”

Concurrently, Hossein Shariatmadari, the representative of the Islamic Republic’s leader at the Kayhan Institute, wrote an op-ed titled “We Want Trump’s Head.” He stated that the Islamic Republic must officially declare Donald Trump, and even the pilots he claimed were involved in the death of Ali Khamenei, as wajib al-qatl, or deserving of death, and that they must be “killed” if access to them is gained.

Following these stances, the Sabereen News Telegram channel, which is associated with factions close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), published an image of Donald Trump’s residence in Ankara, claiming he is staying on the 23rd floor of a hotel.
