School holidays have arrived, which in our house means two things.
The first is that the lunchbox gets a well-deserved break. The second is that the holiday homework makes its grand entrance.
Now, before anyone gets excited, I'm not talking about pages and pages of torture. My son's teacher sent home a lovely holiday pack to keep their little brains ticking over while they're enjoying the break. Simple enough, or so I thought. The first few activities went smoothly.
Reading? Easy. Spelling? He's got that covered. Then we reached the maths.
