Nutribullet Chill
Price: £199.99
Ice-cream makers used to go quietly about their business, gently churning and chilling until your dream dessert was ready. Then came Ninja’s groundbreaking Creami, and now the Chill, Nutribullet’s first foray into the world of ice cream, which perform more explosively, slicing, aerating and mixing tubs of frozen-solid ingredients to a smooth, scoopable consistency. You could never describe the Chill as quiet, but it works brilliantly – and it’s not remotely fussy, dealing with whatever frozen concoction you’ve devised.
Those who have motored their way through multiple Nutribullet smoothies will be familiar with the routine: fill a tub with ingredients, put on a lid (which has an blender attachment), flip it over, slot it into the base and start it up. The primary difference between the Chill and its Nutribullet predecessors is its double-sided, dual-direction blade that’s primed to process frozen ingredients. And, of course, you have to wait for those ingredients to freeze once you’ve filled the one-pint tub; 24 hours is recommended.
